With 700,000 candidates passing each year, the driver's license is the primary exam in France.

Because many young people aged 15 to 25 may not always have the necessary funds for financing their driving training, the State has implemented the license for one euro per day. The goal is simple: to facilitate young people's access to the driver's license through a zero-interest loan system with repayment of one euro per day.

The total cost of the driver's license training remains the same, but the financial institution advances the money, and the State pays the interest.

All young people aged 15 to 25 can benefit from it, provided the financial institution accepts their application. After determining the estimated number of hours required, the driving school provides a quote and a contract for the driver's license training. This contract will be used to apply for a loan from a financial institution. Repayment (30 Euros per month) starts as soon as the amount is released."
